Seniors In Need of More Time

On Valentine's weekend this year, Parkview Christine Apartments which houses low-income elderly residents suffered a major fire that destroyed one wing of the building. Many of the residents were able to find shelter at the homes of friends and families however 16 elderly folks had to be temporarily housed at the Best Western Hotel. American Red Cross funds were only able to shelter them until February 22, 2021. Sixteen elderly folks were at risk at becoming homeless. The Stanislaus Senior Foundation was contacted and quickly able to contribute $4000 to help extend their stay until proper housing was found.
